I groaned as Elena gave me her instructions, "Beth, you need to do the flatwork with Moonstone, I know its boring but he needs to be worked."Elena instructed me, I frowned and nodded, "Yeah okay, ill do it..." I sighed as I left the tack room and headed to get the Friesian Appy cross from the field.
I hated doing anything slow, I was the kid with a need for speed, I loved cross country and jumping but anything slow and tedious drove me nuts. But I agreed to do flatwork with the young stud.
After tacking up and heading to the outdoor arena I was able to calm down a little, but only because Moonstone was such a calm guy. He was BY far the calmest stallion I have ever seen, at only four years old he had only spooked a handful of times and has never even bucked or reared.
"Okay be a good boy now okay... no funny stuff." I mumbled under my breath as I mounted Moonstone, He tried to walk off with me at first but that was nothing I couldn't handle, it was only after all like his 20th ride.
The ride went fairly well and I actually enjoyed myself a little, it was very relaxing, we only had one spook when a bird flew out from a bush, but I didn't get thrown so that was a plus.
I turned him out just as the sun was setting and I headed back to the staff house before the sun set.
