"My Father give me the greatest gift anyone could give another person; He believed in me"
There is one thing I have realized in my time on this earth, there is no one wiser then my father
and no matter how old I get, no matter how much experience I have, how much I do, how much I grow in soul and in my career, nobodies approval means more to me then his. Nobody will ever be able to compete with my father and so when he's well enough to come down and see the horses, see the work I am doing living up to his name its always greatly received. Even if he still insists on telling me, how to hold the reins, or keep my heels down. It doesn't matter, he's my father and I know that's the trainer in him.
Maybe I should try and start from the beginning, well my father he taught me its about getting up earlier, training harder and be willing to push myself harder then the other's, and I think it was his words that made me who I am today, made me go onto the right path. He didn't push me but encouraged me every step, when I would fall down he would be there to pick me up. Just like today when he's still teaching me. Not just my riding but everything in my life. I couldn't have wished for a better father.
You told me recently how proud you are of me and I realized I never got to say thank you. I want to thank you for giving me everything I always wanted. Love, friendship, adventure. There is nothing more I could ever want, other then for it to last forever. But it can't. I don't know what I would do if you weren't here. Thank you for everything.
And a bonus, my father with his favourite stallion, Too Sexy for Spots a descendent from Wounded Warrior.
