| Revolution Stud & Racing Stables has a long and distinguished historical associated with the Cavallo family. Tonio Cavallo’s father Christian Cavallo trained and bred here successfully for over three decades, sending out the winners of 1500 races including 30 Group One victories between 1970 and 2003. He created a state-of-the-art training establishment which attracted some of Europe’s finest thoroughbreds and some of the world’s leading owners who enjoyed success at the highest level. |
Code Blue, Little Missy, Sea Admiral, Kiss me quick, Bad Liar, just a few of the Group winners trained by Christian Cavallo the list is almost endless. He enjoyed particular success at Goodwood with 120 victories including 40 at the Glorious meeting. The Goodwood Cup ,Vintage Stakes and Grand National were all won on two occasions by Cavallo-trained horses and he won the showcase race, the Group One Sussex Stakes twice, with Code Blue in 1989 and Aztec Gold in 1990.
However, it is Wounded Warrior, for whom Christian will best be remembered. Winner of the 2000 Guineas, the Eclipse and the King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Diamond Stakes, he went on to win the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe under Emma Johnson in unbelievable fashion, a performance which earned him the highest-ever International Classification. This record still stands today.
Tonio Cavallo started training racehorses at Revolution Stud & Racing Stables in Cheshire in 2003 at just 20 years of age. He took over the reins from his father , esteemed race horse trainer Christian Cavallo, who retired after training over 1500 winners, 30 Group 1 winners including the great Wounded Warrior.
Assisted by his highly trained team Tonio currently trains and breeds over 60 race horses. Along side his team he has trained over 600 winners including 17 Group winners, in Europe alone. Tonio has had runners in Dubai, America and Hong Kong. Tonio's experienced and dedicated team provide the highest standards of horse care and race horse training, most of the team have been trained by the most successful race horse trainer of the century Christian Cavallo.
Tonio Cavallo was brought up around racehorses. He was a successful amateur jockey winning 70 races and became the youngest amateur jockey to win the Champion Hurdle at the 2000 Cheltenham Festival. With a wealth of race horse knowledge and experience, Tonio has a passion for training and breeding race horses. With a mix of bloodlines Tonio not only has the best pedigree and bloodline of winners, but the finest rare coated Thoroughbreds in Europe.
