Today these three mares enjoyed their first evening in retirement. OCS Hollywood pepper Whiz, OCS Chocolate Rosie and OCS Ima Bar Morella wont be actively shown anymore at this point. They can enjoy their occasional child rides and good care. These three have been around with me since a long time now, even way before I joined ES this year.
With Chocolate Rosie being the oldest mare around in my complete time of being a sims equestrian person and Hollywood wearing my very first marking I've ever done aswell as Ima, my most loved marking created after Ima Switch Hitter, a beautiful bay tobiano stallion. I love there three horses but I have noticed that I dont use them as much as I did anymore. And as they are in a good old age I can happyly release them into their well earned retirement.
They are not dead jet and that says that there might still be some Offspring out of them in the future (but for now except a Splash foal from Hollywood there is no more foals planned).
The next news is, that we will say goodbye to Skip and Foxy. As much as we love those horses we still havent found a new trainer to add to our Ranch and we had to decide sending these horses to better homes that can take care of their intensive training. We are currently waiting for an answer from @Drovers_Run, the breeder of them who have first-buy rights and then we can tell more if they might be up for sale or not. So stay tuned on them.
The reason we chose Foxy and Skip is, that as much as I love both they are very expensive and time consuming in their training. Skip is constantly getting distracted from mares and rivaling stallions and we still couldnt get him trained good enough to work outside. We are still working inside the arena so he listens to the rider and its very hard to control him. He os a lovely stallion and he wont leave us without a trace, as we have two mares covered by him waiting for the beautiful outcome.
And even if Foxy is a beautiful and loveable mare I never really got warm with her. She is a nice horse and she finally came out of her shell, but she is still very skittish and needs a patient and calm rider who takes her step by step to new stuff. She needs many repititions and steady but slow progress is made, Foxy is very reserved. And as much as I would love to work with her, I do not have the time to always do the same steps again until I can show her new material. She needs a caring and strong hand who knows how to handle shy and skittish horses and knows how to get them working on things.
So for now they will be waiting what Drovers will say and I will keep you up on that Informations if they might be for sale some day.
That leaves us with our six remaining mares! (And four stallions, aswell as Gaia and her foals and my private friesian gelding Maestro) They all got a HD makeover, color renew and template update, except the horses I got breed by others like Pepper, Twoface and Sia.
Drovers Lil' Pepper Pieces. Pepper is a great freshman Cutting mare that had a solid 2nd place in her first Cutting Competition, Aspen Rodeo 2017. She is a fast responding and great mare awaiting her first foal from Skip.
OCS Sparlin Myth, my lovely silver amber dun girl with her speed character is the oldest in the herd. But still fit and ready for her Reining career. She has been a long time only broodmare but I see more potential for her, after her for now last foal (also from Skip) she will be going into training and prepared for Reining competitions, she was a barrel horse before, but we stopped going barrel so she will be retrained for Reining.
OCS Sweekt Skinny Sue, young Skinny has become a beautiful Cattle girl in the middle of her training. She showed her cowsense in her early foal years and is continuing to develope even better. Cant wait to show her soon. Sparklin Myth is by the way her mother, they both still care for each other.
OCS Princess Bunny Rose, our currently last foal out of Chocolate Rosie who went into retirement. Promising fast responding Reining mare with a nice bay dun color! And definetly still our troublemaker, chewing on everything and testing out her possibilities.
Drovers I Won A Million In Vegas, our long time lease mare from Drovers, Kodys personal Reining mare for competitions and a nice mare with a calm and collected working climate. She is a preciouse Roan girl.
Drovers Some Sparks D Luxe, Silver Dun Tovero girl here is Sparklin Myths first ever foal and has done great in previouse competitions. Solid 2nd place in Aspen Rodeo Reining competition and will continue to show in the future.
