As promised now finally I am showing you a picture I made whilst Kody had his first Join Up with Sia. They had a pretty bad start as the main problem was the language. And I dont mean horse to human but well, Kody does not speak english that good and Sia came to us from over the sea. Its pretty hard work but today was his third lungetraining already and they are getting better.
Also, Choco and Sia do seem to like each other, its great that Sia found at least one herd member to keep close to. In the next days we might try to bring our Unicorn and Hollywood with them together and see if they might like each other.
As we are currently selling our last two Quarter Horse Stallions to change our breeding focus from Quarter to Paint Horses we only got our 4 mares and of course Sia that are to care for. Interessting enough that we got so much time now that we dont have that much horses anymore since we decided to change. But its somewhat positive, as we now focussed on a new litter from our "Lycanis" Dogs, a wolf-dog hybrid.
All three already have future owners and are sooo cute. Three girls, the grey one, Blu, is going to stay at OCS as she has such a cute star we cant let her go. The other two, Belle and Balou will be going to their owners if they are educated and adult so we know their character. If you now got interessted in our breed, you might check out THIS thread on my website to read more about them.
And to round it all up also an update on our three other mares, Ima, Hollywood and the Unicorn.
Firstof all unfortunately neither Hollywood nor our Unicorn got pregnant. We are going to wait about a month and then might try again. Well, maybe it was fortunate after all, as we are planning to find some Paint Horse Stallions to start our plans for breeding already this year. We usually wanted to take that for next year but I think the girls noticed that somehow and decided for themselfes.
Maybe if you got a fitting Paint Stallion you can write us, in the "Service" Section of ES we oppened a Wanted for the fitting stallions. You can look up there what we are looking for and we would really be very happy if someone might have one.
Ima for know enjoys a bit pasture time as her last training endet not that well. She got a swollen hindleg and the vet couldnt find a reason for it. So she got 2 weeks riding break and we will see if it gets better. Seems like we are doing a summer break if it continues that way now. At least Kody got some work with Sia, so not everybody sits around watching horses on the pastures, haha!
