OCS Sweet Skinny Sue <3
Roscoe has been a midwife today and helped this little filly on her way into our world!
In the morning I already noticed that Unicorn might be almost ready for giving birth so I brought her into her stall. And it must have been fortunate that after lunch Kody and Darren went on a trail ride until late evening. So Roscoe and I were alone on the Ranch and wanted to tack up Moonlights Illusionist for his second training. As we went into the stable I just regulary checked on Unicorn, but just immediatly called Roscoe over who was brushing the Grullo Stallion. I went rather quick but we had to help her, the little buckskin girly here was a bit to big to manage on her own.
At first Roscoe seemed a bit irritated and overwhelmed, but with a bit of a hand from me we helped her get into our world. He was smiling all over his face and seemed really happy about what he had done! I think hes her godfather now. Even more fortunate it must have been that it was Unicorn giving birth, the horse he first sat on as he arrived at OCS. It coulnt be much luckier.
So well, the Trail training got a bit of three hour delay as we had to wait for the vet to come over and check on the little girl, and also Roscoe coulnt leave her somehow, she was to adorable getting nursed. But I think Kaito didnt bother waiting in his stall, it still was way to hot outside and also the horses are lazy, haha!
Her name is Sweet Skinny Sue, also called Sue. She already got in contact to Bunny, the filly from Choco and in a few days they will be able to run around together, but Sue has paddock break still to get comfortable with the world.
