This isn't quite a game help issue, but I'm kind of curious to all of you world-builders. I'm quite new at it and I'm trying to craft a world for my sims/stables. I'm not sure if it's the fences themselves, or the objects around the fences, but every time I start to lay down fences in CAW, they seem to start to go off diagonally. This might just be my eyes playing tricks on me, because the fences line up perfectly when I manually edit their position in the property browser, but they look extremely crooked when I zoom out. So I'm just wondering; Does this happen to anyone else?
not to me, but, your fences may be crooked? I've made quite a few worlds and i know thats something that happens, that you accidentally have the fence placed at an angle. Or it could be that you're not lining up the fences completely.
Do you have the grid on? I just use that to line them up and haven't had any issues.
I've looked at the angles -
then I figured out they probably have to be placed at a -90, 90, -180, or 180 degree angle to look good enough. So far so good, but I'm so new at CAW. I'm learning as I go, though!
Turning the grid on has definitely helped me some. When placing/creating lots as well. It's slow progress, but I'm getting there. I'm also placing my fences at 90 degree angle increments and they seem to be placing MUCH straighter than they were. I think this was a "just me" kinda issue, but I'm glad to have some input from other players.
