| Lost Hill Farm, based in Kentucky horse country, was launched in 2015 by 2012 Symlympic hopeful Caroline Delacort and Top Irish Eventer Graeme MacNamara. The farm is home to a small Irish Draught breeding program with a foundation of hand-selected, top quality Irish imports. We maintain a small Irish Draught show string competing in Dressage, Hunters (Show and Field), Driving and Eventing. |
Irish Draughts were originally bred as an all-purpose breed. Irish farmers needed a horse that was docile, strong and economical to keep. The horse needed to be able to work the farm through the week, pull a buggy in style to church on Sunday and still be fast and athletic enough to take the farmer foxhunting on Saturday.
Our goal at Lost Hill is to produce athletic, healthy, sound, level headed purebred Irish Draughts that excel in the field under saddle and in harness.
In addition to our farm in Kentucky, we also maintain a small farm in Rinn Fada, Ireland.
