Yeah it's true .. I cought a cold... right when competing season and spring started .... Guess it's bad luck.
In the early morning today, I tried to help Vicky and Terry to get some horses fed and prepared for a local Reining competition. I even planned to participate the Pro class with Coyote. But it was impossible for me to ride any horse or at least move down the stairs ... my way from bed to bathroom felt like a marathon .... I called Terry, he can decide if he want to ride Coyote or just put him to the pasture, as I won't be able to drive to the competition.
After another marathon to the kitchen and having breakfast, I headed to the stable anyway. Tyler, one of our stablehands, already cleaned some stalls. Seems he put all mares to the backyard pasture. I asked him why Jamie is the only one that's not outside? He told me Vicky said she has to be groomed. I asked myself why as she doesn't look that dirty, but decided to help Tyler a bit and groom that little mare.
After I finished cleaning Jamie I sat down a while. I'm sweating all over. Damn it. I hate it. It won't get better if I don't chill for some days ... Luckily it's Sunday and only Tyler and me are at Drovers till the evening. I put Jamie onto an empty pasture, she can be bitchy sometimes, and watched her how she enjoyes the fresh green grass and the wind in her short cutted mane, I thought about how to relax, but not lying in bed. Day is to beautiful to stay in house all day long. Sunken in my thoughts I suddenly notice some hot breath at my hand.
Hank came over to the pasture fence, when he saw me and Jamie. The big and calm stallion looks at me with his big brown eyes. I ended up with having a little walk with Hank. Once around the ranch. Which is no "little" walk to be honest. We finished our trip in front of the main house, I sit down and Hank is grazing in front of me. Such a lazy and relaxing Sunday. Tomorrow I'll be fine again ...
