Kontessina arrived at Gut Rosenau in the early morning hours of a cold and windy Monday. Garret found the mare while looking for a new broodmare, for this years seasons. After weeks of browsing the internet, phone calls that all ended more or less disappointing, one near breeder called Garret. The communication was more difficult than expected, Garrets German was.. rusty to say the least. And the breeder, "Mr. Schrott." had, well a grammatically mostly correct English, but his accent was very hard to understand. The deal has been made non the less.
Elizabeth, her mother Marie and her brother Jonathan were awaiting Garret and the newcomer at the stable. As soon as Elizabeth opened the trailer and saw the mare in all her glory she was astouned by her beauty. She had an elegant face and a light, but well muscled built. "Eeehm Dad, one question though. Isn't she a bit young for a broodmare, or is she just in a very good shape." Marie immediately gave her husband the most annoyed look ever. She knew damn well that her man was pretty good in buying things he never actually intended to buy. "Calm down", he grumbled. "Yes, she is young. She's 5. But she's a Hirtentanz granddaughter. And I saw her jump - and she got some serious skills. Don't worry Ma'am," he looked at his wife. "We still get her covered from one of our stallion this season. It will prepare her for what comes after her show jumping career, and also we'll have a first glance at what she could produce."
The sun was showing when Garret finished his walk around the stable with the new mare, "Kontessina". She wasn't nervous when coming out of the trailer, but Garret still wanted to give her some time to see her new surroundings. Now he was leading her to the riding ground, and all of the staff as already gathered her. "Someone said we have a new horse.", Oliver shouted. "Yeah, well I am leading her." Garret snapped.
While Kontessina was now free from all tack and was able to stretch her legs, Garret took the chance that all of the riders were, for once, at one place, to tell them everything they needed to know about the new addition to team.
"Soo guys, Kontess is a 5 years old Trakehner mare. She's a Hirtentanz granddaugther and out of a still competiting at international 1,50m level - mare. So she has a lot of show jumping potential. I also already saw her jump and can therefore only affirm it. She'll get covered by one of our stallions during her next heat. Due to her very calm and nice character and also her lighter built I think we'll match her with Zarengold, but we'll see. Oliver, I know you trained a lot of young horses already, so she will be yours for now. I don't want her to do too much this year. I mean she has been broken in and covered the basics. You are good to introduce her to small jumps in the next months. But of course her training should always fit with the fact that she'll, hopefully, be pregnant soon. And yeah, further plans will be made when we had her around for a little while."
The Team could basically only nod and agree. "Look at them moves", Oliver said and pointed to Kontessina, who was elegantly trotting over to them.
First update in this new album and also with my new Stud "Gut Rosenau". The Story and more infos about Characters and Horses can/or will soon be able to be seen in our Profile Thread.
Please let me know what you think about the story (I hope I haven't made to many mistakes)! Pictures are mostly unedited, besides brightness, saturation and some mane/tail editing here and there and the eye. But I hope you guys like them nontheless!
Also on a side note -> Future updates probably won't have that many pictures as I prolly won't always have enough time to take and edit that many. (It also probably won't have that much text. I think its a bit too much maybe?).
