10.22.17 - The Ginger & The Blonde
Serena looked out the window, finishing up polishing a dressage bridle. Today was the day a new trainer and her horse would arrive - both rumoured to have problems. The trainer, Yvette Wrener, was said to be strict and a bit snobby, while her horse, Ginger, was said to be quite a handful. Well, she could only wait for them to arrive, seeing as there was nothing else to do. Hraði was out grazing, and it's not like Serena owned any other horses.
Finally, a large truck drove up, the trailer behind gigantic in size. Serena practically jumped out of her seat, afraid her stable wouldn't be fancy enough for the rich trainer. The blonde stepped out of her truck, eyeing the place like a hawk. Serena walked out to greet Yvette, a nervous smile planted on her face.
"Welcome to Serenity," Serena said, the nervousness just as evident in her voice. "Thank you. Where's the arena, Ginger needs to stretch his legs," Yvette replied, no longer paying attention to the stable owner. Despite her attitude, her top priority was her horse. He often became restless, sometimes even destructive, by being in a trailer for too long. Especially alone.
"Uhm, the large door over there," Serena pointed towards the entrance of the stable. She was seriously considering running away from this woman. Yvette nodded, and went to unload her horse.
Out of the trailer came a beautiful chestnut, white markings here and there. "Beautiful isn't he? Paid a fortune for him. Supposedly he's a Dressage star," Yvette told the stunned woman, a smirk on her face as she lead Ginger out.
Later, the four were in the arena, letting their horses stretch their legs. Well, Ginger was the only doing that, as Hraði just wanted to get out and graze again. When Serena saw how Yvette worked the horse, she knew she had made a good choice.
