Domain Switch - End of Trial Period
If you haven't already, please read Janelle's announcement here. The time for our trial period is coming to a close. As I mentioned in my original welcome post, this forum will now become Equus-Sims, and our URL will be switched to http://www.equus-sims.com/ at the time that 2.5 is moved to http://equus.community/. This switch is set to happen tomorrow, Sunday, Sept 17th.
As Janelle's announcement states:
"We hope that this name change is similar enough to Equus-Sims so as to make it clear that we are very tight-knit sister sites, but different enough that it should be easier to refer to each community individually."
What does the switch mean for you?
- I would like to invite you to join the new forum! However, if you are currently a member of 2.5, you are still not obligated to join this new forum even though we're assuming the Equus-Sims URL. You can continue with the gameplay you love over at Equus, our sister site.
What will happen to Slack?
- If you are a member of this forum, you are welcome to join our "new" Slack once invites are open. This was previously called ES' "RP Slack" but will be re-purposed for this new forum. I will have more news on invites to this new Slack once I figure out how that will be managed.
Our emails will be down.
- It's possible that you may be in contact or have contacted us using equus-sims.com emails. Our emails will be disabled after the switch until I have found another host for them.
I'm totally confused, what the heck is happening?!
- Chances are, this is still a number of you. I completely understand the confusion that may result from this split. If you have any questions, please feel free to send me a message on the current Slack. If you're a member here, feel free to PM me. I'm happy to help clarify as best I can.
I hope that those of you who are here are enjoying this new forum as much as I am. Please, if you have any suggestions or constructive feedback for me, feel free to post here. Things that you like, things that you'd like to see, areas of improvement, or just words of encouragement are welcome.
