A couple of weeks ago Willow decided to take Simba to a small local schooling show for fun. They ended up doing pretty well, even though Simba wasn't jumping his best. Here is a photo that one of her friends took:

He is currently up for stud now although since I'm new I'm not quite sure how the stud service works lol
So Willow decided to have a light hack with Crow and as you can see he was a little fresh Crow is a very unique horse with a huge stride. He can be a little strong to bigger jumps but he has a sensitive mouth. Because of this we tend to ride him in a regular snaffle, with the occasional slow twist when he's fresh. If anyone knows of a schooling show that has jumpers and is still open please let me know!
So I have some more photos from Simba showing in the past, but these photos are from Willows last A-show.Even long time riders like Willow can make mistakes. As you can clearly see from these pictures where she left a stride out on the last line! Although it is funny now long distances like these can put strain on the horses legs, so Willow had Simba checked out by the vet after and also iced his legs before wrapping them.
After a year of slowly getting Aphrodite back into shape and another year of gradually jumping her higher, Ditey is finally back at Grand Prix height! As you can see this spitfire mare is back in business! Willow decided to take a literal "leap of faith" and popped Ditey over a VERY high jump. Aphrodite has definitely proved she is ready to be a competition horse again! Willow start the ride in the pelham bit using a converter so she could have the strength of a pelham with one set of reins. Towards the end of the ride Aphrodite got a little headstrong and moody so she jumped off quickly and put on both of the pelham reins.
So Willow has been working with the twins for quite some time now and she thinks she knows the reason that they get so nervous whenever she takes them to the ring to work. Willow believes that Potion and Paris suffer from separation anxiety. That would explain why both of them are so flighty and are always calling for each other when they can't see one another. We are fixing this problem in a safe and low stress way and so far the mares have made great progress. Here are some photos from Potions last lunging session. (off the lunge line)

So Willow was working with Paris in the ring, just lunging her without a lunge line. Paris suddenly decided she would rather be back in her pasture near her sister. So this happened...... she definitly has inherited her mothers attitude and her fathers talent!

So I have a couple of updates! Willow bought a drone (lol) and decided to take some overview pictures of the barn. One is of the whole main barn and the other is from inside the barn (we have a roof I swear)
A drone is such a good idea! And it looks like you've got your hands full of horses with large personalities!
