Hello there, fellow simmers!
First I'd like to say that I'm super excited to take the courage to join Equus Sims finally! :') I've been lurking around here for a long time, ever since this new forum came up, but I've been focusing so much on competition over at the sister site that I actually forgot to have fun, and that's what I'm here for.
I've noticed that there are so many lovely people here, and I can't wait to get to know you all and to have some fun finally!
Okay, but back to the point. The introduction. This will be quite an introduction so bear with me!
A LITTLE BIT ABOUT ME OUTSIDE OF SIMS
Hobbies: My favourite is horses, obviously. I'm also obsessed with crime TV series and fictional/fairytale-like shows. This has caused me to stumble upon both teen series and more 'adult' series. I've been through quite a few tv shows, but right now I'm watching The 100 and PLL.
Along with watching tv series, I've spent a lot of time gaming, but I'm a heavy modder and love to mod games. I mostly spend more time to make games realistic and immersive than actually playing the game.
Right now my favourite game, which I play all the time, is Skyrim and it has been my favourite for the past few years. And of course, I play a lot of sims. I'm also a hobby photographer and has a huge passion for web design and spend a lot of my time just creating websites for fun.
I've always dreamt of becoming a journalist or author because as you can see, I love to write. I always write more than necessary, and it just comes naturally to me. When I was younger I used to be a member of Mydreamstable.com(wow, such a long time ago) and used to role play a lot. I haven't done it for a while, but I hope with the ESRPG and more focus on RP in this community I will retrieve my passion for role play and stories by playing sims and being a part of the community.
Family: I have my own little family which I love deeply. The only human in it is my lovely boyfriend through 4 years(which btw is the only reason I actually can have two horses on full-time),
but we do also have our babies who are; my first dog which is soon-to-be 13-year-old, four cats: two adults named Ylva and Ninja, and two kittens named Luna and Svartepus(they also go by the nicknames Yin and Yang.)
And last but not least, I have two beautiful geldings on full-time-loan, which basically means that they live here with me and I take care of all expenses and are responsible for, the only thing I don't pay for is their insurance.
I'm also diagnosed with ME so at times I will be unavailable, and at times I will be active at all times, this really depends on how much stress I'm dealing with in my daily life such as my horses and work. It's hard to explain but also a reason why I'm mentioning my diagnosis because sometimes I might be gone now and then.
So that was a little bit about me outside of the sims world. Before we continue, I'd like to show you the beautiful pets I own, the ones I described in the family section.
PICTURE SPAM OF MY CUTE PETS
This is Yin & Yang. This is two days after the Svartepus arrived and they were best friends already.
This is Svartepus the day I picked her up, 31st August 2017. Such a beautiful baby!
Here you have Luna (kitten) and her mommy Ylva 1 week after I picked them up. Ylva has one ice blue eye and one yellow, while Luna has one ice blue and one dark blue eye. This is a while ago btw; my baby girl has grown up so fast. :')
Here's Ninja, she was picked up from a shelter. A shy and reserved girl but she loves to cuddle with people she trusts. She's not so amazed at the other cats in the house but she accepts them, and sometimes they're allowed to lie beside her.
My beloved old dog, he's been with me for seven years. I love him to the moon and back; he's been there for me through my hardest times.
Me and 'my' fairytale Haflinger gelding.
Me and 'my' beautiful Norwegian Coldblooded Trotter,
Small pictures, done on purpose because I didn't have the time to upload those huge high-quality images, but I'm sure you will see more of them later! Okay. Now that picture spam is out of the way I thought you'd want to know more about me and my character in game. If you do, Keep on reading!
My story through the magical Equus Sims Journey:
After being diagnosed with ME in 2013 my world fell apart, and I had a hard time realising that education and horses could not be a part of my life for a while because I had to rest a lot after all the pressure on education and work. My rescue was playing games and watching tv series with horses. This lead me back to sims, a game I discovered and played as a child/teen because of my older brother used to play it. Lucky for me my brother had the whole sims 3 collection already, and I decided to try it out again. I remember that I used to play my life as how I wanted myself and my career to be in real life.
My interest in modding and improving the game was growing, and I started searching around for custom content to my game and stumbled upon the old Equus Sim in early 2014, but it wasn't until late 2014 that I actually joined after almost a year of lurking around and downloading content. I've had some staff position over at the old Equus Sims (now Equus Community), but right now I feel like I've been focusing too much on points, money and competitions, I kinda lost the whole point of the community, which is having fun! So I hope by joining Equus Sims I will actually start having some fun with my horses.
My name is btw Diana at the sister site. However, I came over here to start fresh.
Oh, and for those who are interested, here's a sneak peek of my main character, Emeline.
Name: Emeline Durand
Biogrpaphy will come later
MY WORK OVER AT EQUUS
As I mentioned, I'm already a member of Equus Community/The old Equus sims. There you'll find me as Diana. However, I will have a much less 'professional, strict' tone when I'm over here because I'm not a staff and I'm basically just going to be myself. I've never been 'known' or 'popular' on Equus Sims, I've always had a hard time finding my place until I started with Norwegian Warmbloods. I started building sloped terrains, huge modern facilities and so on. I've also had a small ranch, and I loved the adventure I had there, but things just weren't right for me, so I went back to the 'typical' warmblood.
Over here I have no plans of what I'll be doing, but I hope I will find out soon enough. So enjoy some of my favourite screenshots!
This is my absolute favourite. My lovely Dancing Elektra from the old forum.
This is my first Norwegian Warmbloods, From left: Dancing Elektra, Symphony of Science and Ecthelion.
This is Pretty in Pink and her rider Emilia Clarke, one of my favourite horses over at the sister site.
All three over is shots form my absolute favourite barn ever, the royal barn. This is now being used for the few baroques I have over at the sister site.
so the manes and tails are horrible, but these were my first three shetland ponies. Sadly I lost them when re-installing the game because I forgot to back them up.
A tiny barn for the workshop over here. Unfortunately, I deleted this post when starting fresh. Oh, how I regret it.
The three pictures over are screenshots from my favourite outdoor arena ever. This was sold to Alastair/Aylet over at the sister site.
And last but not least, a screenshot of my ranch in the world edited by Arwen back when I did stocks. <3
So I hope you liked my introduction and the pictures with it.
I honestly have no idea what I want to start with over here, I mean, there are so many options! I'm just really excited to see where this leads me. One thing I know for sure, I will be writing a lot! So I hope there are some people to geek around with here when it comes to writing stories and RP, I'm sure it is. I'm still trying to figure out everything especially with the ESPRG etc. so any help and suggestion for breeds would be highly appreciated!
This is btw really awkward if I don't get any replies, but who cares; I'd do it all over again even with no replies because I enjoyed to put together this little introduction!
